Amnesty’s vision is of a world in which every person enjoys all the human rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international human rights instruments.
What we did for them
John Baguley worked with the International Secretariat of Amnesty International for two years in the 1990s, assisting their Sections around the world to fundraise and build their membership locally. He also sought to bring a fundraising ethos to the International Secretariat and ensure the movement as a whole understood the importance of fundraising.
He worked closely with the voluntary Fundraising Working Group drawn from fundraising experts in several countries, and organised workshops in Hong Kong, Nepal, Philippines, Eastern and Western Europe. He also worked with Amnesty Sections worldwide from Japan, Korea and Taiwan to Venezuela, Peru and Chile.
