About IICA

The Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) is the specialized agency for agriculture of the Inter-American System that supports the efforts of the Member States to achieve agricultural development and rural well-being.

What we did for them

In November of 2016, IFC-Peru designed a fundraising strategy for FASERT, the fund for access to sustainable renewable thermic energy, guided by IICA Peru as its implementer and EnDev as its donor. This report contained an extensive mapping of potential donors, interviews, and a diagnosis of the current donor landscape identifying the best opportunities for FASERT.

Team work was crucial for the elaboration of this report. The leadership of Karina Sandoval, allowed us to evaluate certain actions and strategically lead our efforts to raise awareness about our mission and secure funding so we can prolong the implementation of FASERT for the subsequent years.

Today, we have a donor-friendly communications kit and a professional fundraising team ready to apply for funding opportunities and by doing so diminishing the gap for access to renewable energy among the rural communities of the Andean region.
