Abdulla is a fundraiser, entrepreneur, consultant and philanthropist. He has worked as a senior director for many INGOs and led fundraising activities for well-known charities such as Sightsavers, as the Director General for the Middle East, the World-Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) – UAE, as Fundraising and Marketing Director and for the Prevention of Blindness Union as Chief Operations Officer. He also helped organise donor forums where he pitched sovereign proposals for countries and intergovernmental institutions. Since the start of his journey, he has personally secured over US$ 86 million.
He holds degrees in Law and Literature, an executive Master in Development Studies and Master of Law (LLM) in Dispute Resolution from the University of Law – UK.
Abdulla is currently involved in a few entrepreneurial ventures and consults organisations and individuals about fundraising and how to use his methods to raise more money.
Abdulla represents the IFC network in the GCC market out of the UAE and will provide different international clients with fundraising services. The Middle Eastern region is very generous and he invites all international organisations who haven’t yet experienced the market here to explore it.
