IFC’s next First Friday free fundraising advice session is on Friday 3rd November and is aimed at international development charities. The session will provide a brief overview of the key funding streams available to such organisations.
This session will cover:
- Fundraising from trusts and companies based in the UK and overseas.
- Institutional funding options for international development charities.
- Individuals fundraising – including generating regular flexible funding through child sponsorship and similar schemes.
- Being ready to act quickly in response to disasters and emergencies.
The session will be led by Anna Taylor, who has more than 15 years of fundraising experience, including seven in senior management roles developing fundraising strategies.
Anna has a proven track record of growing income from multiple funding streams including institutional donors, trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, high net-worth individual givers, sponsored events, direct mail and digital fundraising. Her knowledge of best practice in all these fields has been further enhanced by researching and writing an International Development Funding Guide with input from leading experts.
IFC runs First Friday fundraising advice sessions in a bid to share its expertise with organisations and fundraising individuals looking for inspiration and guidance. Through its First Friday fundraising advice sessions, on the first Friday of each month, participants from any charity receive expert, free advice about anything relating to fundraising. These take place simultaneously in London, Amsterdam and Milan. First Fridays are particularly popular amongst small charities as it gives those who cannot afford professional consultancy the opportunity to access world-class advice and support for free.
