July’s First Friday Fundraisers

June 30, 2015/in First Fridays, IFC Canada, IFC Netherlands, IFC UK/by Helen Ives-Rose

ff-imageDo you have responsibility for fundraising in your charity? Are you based in London, Amsterdam or Ottawa? Could you do with a bit of inspiration or free advice about a particular fundraising issue? Well, our First Friday Fundraisers have got your name all over it!

We run monthly fundraising sessions for anyone who is responsible for or interested in fundraising. It doesn’t matter if you work for a global charity or volunteer at a local charity – everyone is welcome.

Our next First Friday Fundraisers in London and Ottawa will take place this Friday, 3rd July. Book your place now:

IFC Canada

IFC Canada will have guest speaker, Andrea Helfer from WaterAid Canada, at their next First Friday. Andrea will be sharing her top 10 tips on how to develop effective communications to drive fundraising success. This will be followed by the usual Q & A where you can bring your fundraising questions.

Friday 3 July, 1.30pm to 4pm at the Hub, 71 Bank Street, Ottawa. Contact mena.gainpaulsingh@groupifc.com to book your place.

IFC Netherlands

Fundraiser Dan Pallotta gave a revolutionary speech at TEDex about the popular thinking on charity spending. How charities are rewarded for how little they spend – not for what they actually get done!

At the next First Friday Fundraisers session in Amsterdam, we will be looking at how this is still the case two years on, and the current perception of fundraising from the general public AND within the industry. Why is fundraising so misrepresented and how we can as professionals change that perception.

This is NOT a soap box moment, but a chance for us all to put our heads together and discuss the best way to inform and educate. Your input and thoughts prior and on the day are very welcome.

Friday 3 July, at Jam Workspace, Nieuwe Looiersdwarsstraat 9, 1017 TZ Amsterdam. Cost: 10 euros. Email helen.maynard-hill@groupifc.com to book a place.

IFC UK

July’s First Friday Fundraisers advice session, run in partnership with the Small Charities Coalition is now full. However, you can be added to the waiting list and we will contact you if a space arises. The session will take place on Friday 3 July, 2pm-5pm at TPP Recruitment, 4th Floor, Sherborne House, 119-121 Cannon Street, London, EC4N 5AT.

Don’t worry if a space doesn’t come up, you can ask your fundraising questions below in the comments box and we’ll get back to you. Be sure to book on to our August session too.
