IFC CEO Joins Global Thinkers Forum Board

IFC CEO, John Baguley has joined the Global Thinkers Forum‘s Global Growth Board. Global Thinkers Forum is a global platform that brings together a diverse network of visionary thought leaders to effect positive change in the world. GTF promotes accountable leadership, women empowerment and youth development. Global Thinkers Forum is also a bridge-builder that creates opportunities for knowledge exchange, collaboration and strategic philanthropy.

Speaking about his new role, Baguley said:

“I am excited to be able to play a part in this unique global movement and to share its ambition to create the leaders of tomorrow that will not merely replicate the failure of leadership we see around the world but will inspire, educate and enable their people to make a better future; whether they lead nations, companies or charitable organisations.

“Through this organisation I can see a golden opportunity to meet the kind of people that think, like me, of creating a new more equal and better functioning society. One where greed and inequality are not the prime financial drivers. Through these people I hope to be able to leverage my knowledge to assist them to reach their dreams and aspirations.”

As a member of the GTF Global Growth Board, Baguley hopes to help facilitate not just the growth of GTF, but the growth of its programme in a very practical way. Utilising his background as CEO of the International Fundraising Consultancy, he intends to bring deep knowledge of international fundraising to help leaders in philanthropy to leverage their financial ability to make meaningful change happen around the world.

“I see no point in merely discussing issues without consequences and I hope to look back in years to come and to say that together we have helped to create better leaders, especially women and to prepare the next generation of leaders; not just waiting patiently in the wings but actively preparing for their role so that they can play a positive part in creating a much better future. All this will take money and I hope that I can assist with the practical and strategic thinking that will increase the endowment of the change makers,” continued Baguley.

GTF organises a wide range of activities including seminars, fora, roundtable discussions, workshops, networking events and an annual Awards Ceremony. GTF’s network consists of pioneering minds & values-driven thought leaders who are passionate about creating a better world.
