Storytelling is vital to any fundraiser, especially in this digital age. But, how do we let donors know what we are doing if we don’t tell a good story? The next First Friday fundraising advice session in Amsterdam on 3 February is all about digital storytelling, so book your place now.
It’s easy to get bogged down in the detail, or to repeat what supporters already know about your organisation. So how do we change that? How do we make our donors sit up and take notice of our amazing story? We are also living in an age where everything is now digital. Love it or hate it, it’s here and needs to be embraced.
Friend of IFC Netherlands’ First Friday fundraising advice sessions and highly skilled digital storytelling specialist , Ozge Tigli will be at the next session, talking about how to increase an organisation’s impact through digital storytelling.
The session will include an introduction to fundamental principles of digital storytelling and an overview of the methodologies. Throughout the session there will be an opportunity to explore digital mediums for telling your story, learn about ways of engaging your audiences, building trust-based relationships and inspiring and influencing your stakeholders. We will be exploring the tone of voice and visual style needed for your story and you will be able to start to tailor the unique story of your organisation.
The Session will take place on Friday 3 February 2017 at The Thinking Hut, Mauritskade 55c, 1092AD, Amsterdam (East) from 10am-12pm, with lunch after the session included. The fee is 20 euros.
