EthiCom – communications with added values is a consultancy agency for public relations and fundraising with a specific focus on the not-for-profit sector. EthiCom’s mission is to strengthen societal project in their communications with the media, the public and their donors.
EthiCom offers a wide range of services in the field of press relations, fundraising, strategic communications and marketing. Services include strategic advice, auditing, market research, feasibility studies, strategic planning, coaching, training as well as execution of specific tasks where clients lack own capacity. EthiCom’s structure allows to be flexible an to customise its work on the client’s needs. Koen Van den Broeck (1963).
Founder, managing partner & senior consultant (Press relations and communications) Koen is master in Communications Science and Political Sciences (University of Ghent, 1986). He started his carrier as a journalist and editor, and later worked for Amnesty International Flanders (Press officer & lobbyist), Médecins Sans Frontières Belgium (Press officer) and Handicap International (Communications & Fundraising Manager), before he founded EthiCom in 2000. Koen was co-author for several publications on fundraising and author of a manual for press officers.
Ilja De Coster (1978).
Managing partner & senior consultant (Fundraising and communications) Ilja is master in Political Sciences (University of Ghent, 2001) and holds a degree in non-profit management (VSPW, Balans, 2005). He started as a volunteer in international youth work, responsible for project management and fundraising, and worked as fundraising officer for the Flemish Centre for Sexual Health. Joint EthiCom in 2006. Co-coordinator of the Belgian Fundraisers Network.
