About Ealing Council

Ealing Council serves the residents and businesses of London’s third largest borough, which is located in the heart of west London.

What we did for them

IFC was commissioned by Ealing Council to work with the External Funding team to support bids to the Big Lottery in excess of £300,000.

During the contract, which took place over 2 years, the IFC helped to develop bids to three different Big Lottery Funding schemes, to include drafting, advising on whole bid development, helping to structure consultation meeting agendas, facilitate multi-agency meetings and consultation events including drawing together results and advising on how to include this information in bid development, as well as supporting project development.

Valerie Borne, External Funding Manager at Ealing Council states: We have found IFC’s service to be excellent. They offer a professional and flexible service – from advising on bid and project development, to undertaking research and writing bids. They have bought a valuable external perspective to our fundraising work, and we have benefited from their extensive experience and sound guidance. IFC supported our team to develop a number of proposals including major BIG Lottery bids (Reaching Communities and Community Libraries). 2 out of 3 have been successful so far, bringing in over 1.6 million to our organisation’.

With its previous work in supporting family support projects, we continue to provide advice in developing a consortium bid to the Family Learning grant scheme of the Big Lottery.
