The great and the good from the world of fundraising convened this week at a the National Fundraising Awards to celebrate excellence and best practice. From Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year to Best Legacy Campaign, Institute of Fundraising’s National Fundraising Awards showcase the most remarkable fundraising achievements of the past 12 months.

But the night really belonged to one man…IFC CEO, John Baguley, who walked away with the Lifetime Contribution Award. Driven by the desire to help the world’s poorest people, John Baguley has dedicated more than 35 years of his career to fundraising. Be it as a fundraiser, a director, or a fundraising consultant, John has successfully grown the income of charities of all sizes, from driving Amnesty UK’s membership to over 100,000 to a capital appeal for a rehabilitation centre for Freedom from Torture.

Here’s what industry folks had to say about him…making him the ‘greatest and the goodest’ of them all.
