Last week in Lima, Peru, IFC held a workshop on How to convert followers into monthly donors. Run by IFC Associate, Andrea Mejia, the workshop aimed to bring together not-for-profit organisations in Peru to explore the issue of increasing donors and provide a networking opportunity.
The aim of the workshop was to begin to build a community and allow a space where Peruvian fundraisers could share their experiences, best practices and challenges.
In total, 27 different organisations attended the event, which kicked off with an insightful presentation in to converting followers to donors, followed by a group exercise, and finished off with a great networking session.
With excellent feedback given about the event, all 27 organisations signed up for the next course, which will take place at the end of February. IFC Peru aims to provide these workshop opportunities to build a community for not-for-profit organisations and those responsible for fundraising in Peru and other Latin America countries.
Any organisation based in Peru or Latin America, or with field offices, or those wishing to expand to the region and explore fundraising opportunities should contact IFC Peru Director, Karina Sandoval: firstname.lastname@example.org
